Professional Summary
I am a Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Architect and Microsoft MVP with 8+ years in Power BI and 2+ years in Microsoft Fabric. At IKEA I architect, build, and look after an enterprise analytics platform serving 30,000+ users across billions of rows. I designed the Direct Lake migration, the PBIP/TMDL CI/CD architecture, and the performance engineering behind it. Copilot and AI agents answer from these models, so I keep them governed, documented, and source-controlled. I lead how the team uses AI in everyday development: Claude and Copilot are part of daily work, and I have started learning and actively using the Power BI Desktop Bridge and the Skills for Fabric agent skills. This has roughly tripled our development speed. On the side I build open-source Power BI developer tools (95+ GitHub stars across 5 repositories) and answer community questions as a Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Super User. Before BI, I spent over ten years in supply chain and logistics operations, which is why I design around the numbers operations teams actually act on.
Experience
- Architect semantic models and analytics pipelines on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI serving 30,000+ users across billions of rows in the global supply chain organization
- Migrated legacy Import-mode models to composite models with Direct Lake, removing 90%+ of refresh load and giving 30,000+ supply chain users 25% faster queries
- Designed Git-based source control for Power BI artifacts (PBIP/TMDL) with CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps and GitHub, so deployments are versioned, testable, and easy to roll back
- Wrote a parameterization framework for reproducible deployments across 3 environments, cutting release time by 70%
- Reworked the semantic models for a 30% size reduction and a 25% query performance gain
- Reduced Fabric Premium capacity (CU) usage by 25% through hands-on tuning and AI-supported performance analysis
- Lead how the team uses AI in everyday development, from Claude to the Power BI Desktop Bridge and Skills for Fabric agent skills, testing each new tool as it lands and folding the ones that work into how we build, roughly 3x development speed
- Coach analysts on semantic modeling, DAX optimization, and AI-assisted report development
- Enterprise Power BI solutions across Supply Chain, Logistics, CRM, HR, PM integrated with Dynamics 365
- Created logistics dashboard cutting weekly reporting from 6 hours to 10 minutes
- Optimized query folding and DAX logic, improving report load times by 40–60%
- Built reusable Power BI templates for faster client rollouts
- Power BI Dataflows, datasets, and reports for 10+ EU sites
- Weekly Stability, Monthly Business Review, and Productivity dashboards
- Nominated Power BI Super User by Microsoft for technical leadership
- Power BI insights on freight pricing, process bottleneck analysis, cash flow visibility
- Launched FlowAnalysis.co for data modeling and supply chain analytics content
- Earned CSCP, MCSA BI Reporting, MCT, MOS Excel Expert certifications
- Key Account Management across global air/ocean freight, European trucking, warehouse handling
- Operational analytics: shipment visibility, SLA root-cause analysis, cost-to-serve modeling
- Asia-Europe trade lane optimization with data-driven carrier selection
